M.K. SinhaPRESIDENT & CEO, IDFC PROJECT EQUITYM.K. Sinha is an investment professional with over 18 years of significant international experience having worked in USA, London, Hongkong, Singapore and India. In his previous role as Executive Director, IDFC for two years since June 2005, he was responsible for doubling IDFC's asset book to over USD 4 billion while maintaining profitability and high asset quality. Assets booked included proprietary equity investments in the Indian infrastructure sector. His role of being the head of business development helped him build significant relationships with key decision makers in Infrastructure companies in India. Prior to joining IDFC, he worked with GE Commercial Finance in the Structured Finance and Energy Financial Services divisions for over 10 years. At GE he worked in various roles, primarily on "Structured Equity" type deals. Before that, he worked with Bank of America and SBI Capital Markets in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking areas respectively. At Bank of America, he was involved in Debt Syndication and Structured Trade Finance type deals and at SBI Capital Markets he was involved in underwriting and managing IPO's, bond placements and M.K. Sinha holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a B.Tech (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. |
