IDFC has strong relationships with the prominent private sector sponsors in India's infrastructure sector, along with many emerging participants in the sector. IDFC is among the earliest supporters of infrastructure investment for many of these clients and has developed strong relationships in the industry. These relationships have enabled it to have a role in prospective projects with such sponsors at an early stage and to obtain leadership roles in advising and financing several infrastructure projects.
