GVR Infra Projects (GVR) is engaged in the business of construction and development of infrastructure projects and has been one of the fastest growing companies in the construction sector. GVR was promoted by two individuals with long standing experience in infrastructure businesses – Mr. G.V. Rao and Mr. K. Ganga Prasad. The company is focused mainly on roads, but also has a presence in bridges, irrigation, railways and urban infrastructure. GVR is actively focusing on several state level programs with a selective targeting of NHAI projects. GVR has also developed a strong portfolio of BoT projects, and hence is well-positioned to capture value across the entire value chain of road construction as well as development. IDFC Private Equity invested INR 1.5 billion in the Company in July 2011.
