MANAGING PARTNER

Mr. Satish Mandhana is the Managing Partner at IDFC Private Equity. He has 28 years of private equity and corporate finance / business strategy experience. He has been with IDFC Private Equity since 2006.

During his previous stint as director of CDC Advisors (now Actis), he was involved in many investments and exits including the privatization of Punjab Tractor and investing initial capital in IDFC. Mr. Mandhana was also CFO and Head of Business Strategy at JK Paper for nearly three years. At SRF Finance he led the company’s private equity, investment banking, structured finance, stock broking and advisory businesses. Mr Mandhana started his career at the shop floor of Eicher. His current Board memberships include Viom Networks, Green Infra, Deepak Cables, GMR Energy & DARCL.

Mr. Mandhana is a member of the Government of India’s Working Group on Power for the Eleventh Plan (2007-12), and is a founding member of the Cleantech Forum in India. Passionate about promoting green infrastructure, he received an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University, and holds a BE degree in Industrial Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee.
