GROUP DIRECTOR - CFO FUND INITIATIVES

Ms. Rupa Vora is responsible for the Finance and Compliance functions of IDFC’s fund initiatives including IDFC Private Equity. She was earlier CFO of Antwerp Diamond Bank in Mumbai and was a part of the core team that set up the bank’s Indian operations.

Ms. Vora was a Chartered Accountant at the age of 22 - one of the few female Chartered Accountants at the time and started her career with an independent practice. After almost a decade as an independent, she moved to the banking industry. Her prior banking experiences were with KBC Bank, Credit Lyonnais and Oman International Bank.

Ms. Vora is a member of the Committee for Members in Industry of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. She is also a member of the Mumbai Taxation Committee of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, a member of the National Committee on Accounting Standards 2010-11 of the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Chairperson of the valuation sub-committee of the Indian Venture Capital Association.

Ms. Vora received a B.Com from the University of Mumbai and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. She is married and has a daughter. She is an ardent follower of His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and the Art of Living and plays an active role in their social initiatives.
