State Government Advisory Services

Through joint ventures with the states of Karnataka and Uttaranchal, we provide project development and consulting services to promote infrastructure investments via public private partnerships (PPP).


Infrastructure Development Corporation (Karnataka) Ltd. (iDeCK)

Our joint venture with the state of Karnataka, was set up in 2001 with an aim to develop and promote infrastructure development utilizing private capital and professional management with strong public sector support.

iDeCK, is a new generation State level institution created to promote infrastructure projects in Karnataka. These projects will be based on private capital and management, with strong public sector support and commitment within the context of a competitive framework.

The joint venture has been incorporated under the Company’s Act 1956, with up to 49% holding by the Karnataka government and 51% by our partners and us, where we will take lead responsibility for iDeCK’s operations. The institution aims to establish State level priorities in infrastructure development, placing them in enabling frameworks which can harness both public and private instruments, ensuring the execution of the projects. It will assist the existing State institutional structure to put their plans into operation.

iDeCK’s position is that of both a strategic path-breaker for the State’s infrastructure development objectives and as a facilitator for effective project implementation. iDeCK will attract financing support from financial institutions, banks and multilaterals for its project portfolio. It will also pilot technology innovations and financial structuring, ensuring beneficial impact on people and the industry.

Uttaranchal Infrastructure Development Company Ltd. (UDeC)

Our joint venture with the state of Uttaranchal, through the Uttaranchal Infrastructure Development Company Ltd. (UDeC), was created in 2003. Its objective was to assist the State Government and its agencies to set up appropriate policy and legal frameworks for infrastructure development and encourage the implementation of viable projects in the private sector.

UDeC was created to fulfill the following objectives:

  • Conduct studies for the development of an Agri Export Zone for medicinal and aromatic plants.
  • Project identification and feasibility studies for projects qualifying for assistance under the ASIDE scheme.
  • Development of an integrated horticultural project for Chamoli district.
